Sánchez accuses the right of not defending social gains out of fear or electoral calculation: his legs are shaking

MADRID, 24 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, has assured today that his hand will not tremble to defend the social conquests in Spain and has rejected the "reactionary speeches" against a right that he has accused of being afraid or that they "tremble" legs" by electoral calculations. He has confirmed this today during his speech in Parliament to report on the European Councils in October and December.

Pedro Sánchez recalled that eleven months have passed since Ukraine is "resisting against the invader". But he has warned that the Ukrainian people are not only resisting Putin, but also against a "reactionary discourse" that questions the values and foundations of the European project.

A speech that, as he has warned, "others replicate in other latitudes" and he has expressly cited Brazil, the US and "also in Spain" and that would mean "going back to a time that we thought was past, a time in black and white".

Having said this, he has warned the right, although without mentioning any specific party, that "they will never achieve it" and that the rights won "are not questioned, they are defended, respected and exercised". "If others, due to fear or post-electoral calculations, their legs tremble to defend them, I tell them that the government's hand will never tremble, that we are not going to give an inch," Sánchez warned in reference to the controversy of the last week about the gestational measures that the government of Castilla y León had announced, although it has not mentioned it expressly either.

In addition, all of Pedro Sánchez's speech has been peppered with references to the problems created by the "neoliberal policies" applied by the Government of Mariano Rajoy, as opposed to those that he has applied and which, according to him, are to improve the lives of families and companies.

He has also drawn his chest from the negotiations in Brussels and the achievements made by his government, especially in energy policy. "This is what it's all about, it's about fighting, not lowering your head, that's the decisive factor," Sánchez exclaimed before asserting that today, Spain dares to fight those battles in Brussels and has learned to win them.

"Others submissively accepted a doctrine of moral reproach against our country and southern Europe, importing bank bailouts while today Spain exports solutions such as the Iberian solution," he snapped.
