Robles trusts that the people of Madrid will be much more supportive than Ayuso with energy saving

MADRID, 3 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Defense Minister, Margarita Robles, is confident that the people of Madrid "will go far ahead in solidarity" than the president of the Community, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, who has announced that she has no intention of complying with the energy saving measures approved by the Government.

After a meeting with the Ukrainian ambassador to Spain, Serhii Pohoreltsev, Robles warned that a "very complicated" historical situation is being experienced and the military offensive launched by Russian President Vladimir Putin is going to affect the entire international community .

Thus, he has spoken of the use of gas cuts as a "weapon" and in the face of this he has defended the need to make "sometimes complicated and difficult" decisions from the Executive to "cushion" the consequences. For this reason, he has lamented that there is no "unity" in Spain at a time when all of Europe is claiming the need to respond together to Russian attacks.

"I can't resist the fact that at a time of unity among all European countries here in Spain there is no unity and Ayuso wants to question some measures that only seek to strengthen us and prepare us for a winter that is going to be very hard on the part of a single person in charge Putin," he warned.

In this sense, he has criticized the attempt to "put" "personal or partisan" issues before him and has claimed that Spain has always proven to be a "solidarity" country. "When we have to tighten our belts, we are going to do it. I am convinced that the citizens of the Community of Madrid are going to go far ahead in solidarity as they have always done with their president", she has claimed.
