The Defense Minister, Margarita Robles, has announced that the last aid package from Spain to support the Ukrainian Army against the Russian invasion will begin to leave tomorrow for Ukraine.

As he explained from Prague, where he is taking part in an informal meeting of EU defense ministers, "this very week four planes from an allied country are going to take Spanish cargo, long-range ammunition, to Ukraine, and tomorrow an important convoy will leave with winter material".

The sending of this aid, the minister stressed, responds to the "two priorities" transferred by the Government of Volodimir Zelenski to Spain in terms of its needs. In addition, she has taken the opportunity to thank the allied countries that are helping to transfer Spanish aid to Ukraine.

Defense announced on August 24, coinciding with the six months of the Russian invasion and the anniversary of Ukraine's independence but also with the criticism of the Ukrainian ambassador for the military aid provided, the sending of a new assistance package.

Specifically, the shipment of some 30,000 field uniforms for cold weather, 15,600 jackets, 15,000 outdoor suits and several thousand additional clothing and coat items was announced, as well as field artillery with a total of 1,000 full shots of long-range ammunition. scope, prepared in 75 pallets of one cubic meter.

The acquisition and delivery to Ukraine of 1,000 tons of diesel for an approximate amount of 2.5 million euros has also been authorized, as well as a set of TOA APC M-113 vehicles in good working order, pending operational readiness after the industrial setup.
