Queen Elizabeth II is buried in the Royal Crypt at Windsor Castle

MADRID, 19 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Queen Elizabeth II of England has been buried in the Royal Crypt of the Chapel of Saint George at Windsor Castle, in London, after the third and last service of the day attended by her closest relatives.

"The queen has been buried next to the Duke of Edinburgh in the King George VI Memorial Chapel," the British Royal Family said in an official statement.

The last act of an intense day has been vetoed to the press, so hardly any details have emerged about how the remains of the queen have been placed next to those of her husband, Felipe, who died in 2021 at 99 years of age. It is known that she has officiated the ceremony the Dean of Windsor.

Felipe was buried in a temporary place waiting for their remains to rest together after the death of Elizabeth II, who died on September 8 at Balmoral Castle in Scotland.
