Podemos asks the PSOE to be firm in not allowing the PP to veto Rosell and ensures that the entire UP shares this position

Podemos has reaffirmed that they are not going to accept or allow the PP to veto the Government delegate against gender violence, Victoria Rosell, as a candidate to enter the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ). A position that raises "unanimity" throughout the confederal space, as they have moved to demand the "progressive" forces, in reference to the PSOE, to remain "steadfast" to prevent an "unjustifiable" exclusion.

This has been transferred at a press conference by the co-spokespersons of the purple formation, Javier Sánchez Serna and María Teresa Pérez, to emphasize that removing the judge from the list of candidates is to grant the popular the ability to "blackmail" and culminate a "revenge policy" against her.

Moreover, he has described as a "bad joke" that the PP hides behind criteria of depoliticization, when it has blocked the governing body of the judges for almost "four years" and has proposed magistrates in judicial institutions clearly aligned with its approaches .

In this regard, Pérez has stressed that the purple formation has spoken during these days with the second vice president, Yolanda Díaz, and that he transfers to them, like all United We Can, the support for Rosell's candidacy because she is an "exemplary" magistrate, "brilliant" and "excellent".

Meanwhile, Sánchez Serna has pointed out that this demand is a condition prior to the negotiation, which will only be successful if there is no PP veto against Rosell.
