Podemos affirms that its leader in Aragon supports the 'yes is yes' Law and says that his words were "distorted"

The spokesman for Unidas Podemos in Congress, Pablo Echenique, has stressed that the coordinator of the purple formation in Aragon, Maru Díaz, supports the Law of 'only yes is yes' and settles any controversy over his recent statements, which were "misrepresented " and she herself has already clarified.

This was stated at a press conference in reference to the words yesterday of the party leader in this community, who in a radio interview pointed out that the application of the regulations "is being painful" and a "tragedy", although "it is not even The vocation of the law, nor of the legislator, was to make what is happening happen".

Echenique has stressed that Maru Díaz herself later clarified the meaning of her statements on networks, by ruling that her words have been "misrepresented". Therefore, she has deepened that "there is nothing more to say" because the regional leader has the same position as the organization as a whole on this law.

Maru Díaz, who is also a counselor in the Government of Aragon, stated on Twitter that the Law 'only yes is yes' is "necessary" because it "protects women against sexual violence" and its progress will be seen "with the weather".

"That said, for me it is human and inevitable to empathize with the pain of those women who, because of an unfair application of the law by some judges, are suffering these days. That is also what feminism is about."
