Eight cocktail bars from America will meet at Salmon Guru

MADRID, 25 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Madrid will become the world capital of cocktails in Spanish on the weekend of September 30, 1 and 2, as a prelude to the ceremony of The World's 50 Best Bars, which will be held for the first time in Barcelona.

Specifically, 'The Big Reunion' will bring together eight renowned cocktail bars in a single bar, in Madrid's Salmon Guru, Diego Cabrera's signature cocktail bar. Thus, Employees Only (New York), Hanky Panky (Mexico City), Alchemist (Cartagena), El Barón (Cartagena), Carnaval (Lima), Cochinchina (Buenos Aires), Chintonería (Buenos Aires) and Florería Atlántico will meet (Buenos Aires), as reported in a statement.

This meeting was born as a pioneering project in Spain that will try to establish itself as a regular appointment in the calendar to continue advancing in the consolidation of new bar and business concepts.

"We dream of this, we have been organizing it since we started the meetings. Receiving so many bars and so many friends at the same time and in the same place is a turning point. The Great Meeting is basically a dream come true", said Diego Cabrera, who will act as host of the appointment.

Throughout this year, Salmon Guru, which occupies 24th place on the prestigious list 'The World's 50 Best Bars 2021', has hosted a program of visits baptized as 'The Reunion' with which Madrid has known the presence of world-renowned bars such as Abajo (London), Little Red Door Paris (Paris), Wax On (Berlin), Barro Negro (Athens), Freni e Frizioni (Rome), Café Klandestino (Lisbon) or Himkok (Oslo), as well as Hanky Panky (Mexico City), Alchemy (Cartagena) and Carnival (Lima).

A format open to the public and the industry that aims to unite different cocktail cultures that are distant from each other and that culminates with 'The Big Reunion', where renowned international bartenders and promoters of this category in America will be present.

In this way, during that weekend there will be a round table where topics of interest related to the world of cocktails (sustainability, business, innovation, social work...) will be discussed.

Salmon Guru, Viva Madrid and DPickle Room will host the prelude to the '50 Best Bars' awards and which will also put the finishing touch to Madrid Cocktail Week, which will be held from next Monday, with the presence of these Latin American bars and some more at the hotel The Madrid Edition.
