Izquierda Unida denounces "patriarchal justice" on the eve of 8-M: "We demand a justice that believes us"

MADRID, 5 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Izquierda Unida has launched its manifesto this Sunday on the occasion of the celebration of 8M, prepared by its Feminist Network, in which they denounce the culture of rape and patriarchal justice, for which they ask to go out to the streets to shout 'It is not No!'.

"We demand a justice that creates us, a State that protects us and an education to be free and diverse. All those demonstrations and campaigns against the herd have allowed us to move forward to put sexual freedom, desire and freedom at the center of public debate. consent", the document highlights.

This formation defends that the debates that the feminist movement must face are approached "from the dialogue of the different visions", to "build taking into account all the realities and thus be able to find a real solution to the problems".

In this sense, they regret that inequality is "structural" and affects all areas of life and point out that it multiplies when different factors are combined: migrant women, trans, dissidents, the elderly, with functional diversity, with mental health problems , victims of trafficking, prostitutes or those who live in the rural world.

"The struggle is the only path. A path of transformation whose fruits are bricks that build an alternative society to the patriarchal, capitalist and racist system that oppresses and exploits us throughout the world," they have indicated.

They also stress the importance of sexual and reproductive rights, as well as a desired maternity, abortion in Public Health and affective sexual education. "Enough of control over our bodies and our lives! In Spain, clandestine abortions were organized until the first abortion law was achieved. Women of 16 years were forced to continue under guardianship only if they did not want to be mothers at that age , and the taboo and pressure with abortion continued and motivated them to be referred to private centers generating territorial inequalities. Today 16-year-old women recover their citizenship," they celebrate.

In addition, they demand peace and the cessation of wars in the Ukraine, Palestine, Yemen or the Sahel. "We demand the peaceful solution of all conflicts. We join the international cry against oppression and imperialism launched by our Saharawi and Peruvian comrades, for the rights of Iranian women and against the devastation experienced by Syrian and Turkish women", they have emphasized.
