MADRID, 5 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) -
The Extremaduran assistant Guadalupe Porras Ayuso will become this Wednesday the first Spanish referee to participate in the men's Champions League by participating in the duel of the first day of the group stage between Napoli and Liverpool at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium.
Carlos Del Cerro Grande from Madrid will direct the clash with Porras Ayuso on one of the wings and Pau Cebrián Devis on the other. The fourth referee will be César Soto Grado from La Rioja. The VAR team will also be entirely Spanish with the Canarian Alejandro Hernández Hernández as VAR and the Catalan Xavier Estrada Fernández as AVAR.
The woman from Badajoz adds a new milestone in her career after being the first Spaniard to debut in the First Division, in a final of the Copa del Rey or in a match for the men's senior teams. This summer she participated together with Marta Huerta de Aza in the European Championship in England and in the U-20 World Cup in Costa Rica.
