González Pons believes that the PP has managed to "moderate" Vox by putting them in the Government of CyL

The PP's deputy secretary for Institutions, Esteban González Pons, considers that the Autonomous Executive of Castilla y León is "fulfilling" the idea that when the 'popular' share government with Vox, those of Santiago Abascal "moderate."

This is how González Pons spoke in an interview on Onda Cero, collected by Europa Press, where he explained that the European People's Party is having a debate on how to establish relations with the extreme right.

This reflection has come up after the Italian right has decided to support Giorgia Meloni after her victory in the elections last week. "At the moment we have given them a vote of confidence, let's see what happens", said Pons.

Given this, Pons has been asked if he considers that they have managed to moderate Vox by sharing a coalition with them in the Castilla y León Executive, to which he has replied that "Vox is being Vox" and that politics in this region "is the is doing the PP".
