Gamarra charges Sánchez for his "à la carte" reform for escapees and disabled from 'procés' that "humiliates" the State

The general secretary of the PP, Cuca Gamarra, has charged harshly against the criminal reform of sedition "à la carte" for those who have fled and are disabled from the 'procés' with which, in her opinion, the President of the Government "humiliates" the State , breaks the equality of Spaniards before the law and carries out an "interference" in the work of the Judiciary. After challenging the PSOE officials to rebel, she has affirmed that the parliamentary route has been chosen to prevent the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ) and the Council of State from speaking out.

In an interview on Antena 3, which Europa Press has picked up, Gamarra has stressed that with this step "a great lie materializes" to the Spanish because Pedro Sánchez promised them in the campaign that "he would put Puigdemont in the hands of Justice" and that "I would amend the Penal Code" to criminalize the calling of an illegal referendum and the aggravation of sedition penalties. "He is just doing the opposite with just one goal, to stay in power at any price, even if it is in exchange for weakening the state," he emphasized.

Gamarra has affirmed that a Prime Minister must be a "statesman" to "protect him and make him stronger" but Pedro Sánchez "shows that he has little of being a statesman" because, in his opinion, what he is looking for is "to buy time at any price to stay in La Moncloa".

As for whether he believes that he uses the parliamentary route to avoid possible unfavorable reports from the consultative bodies, Gamarra has indicated that this is "further evidence of how Pedro Sánchez uses everything within his reach for his own benefit" although that "means weaken the state.

In this sense, he has criticized the fact that he has opted for this parliamentary procedure to "avoid" "the CGPJ and the Council of State" from speaking out, so that they cannot say "loud and clear that what is basing this reform on It has nothing to do with the general interest and with protecting the State".

"In short, what is behind it is, in the end, to use all the springs that it has within its reach and with an interference in other powers. This does not stop being in the end that choosing between Montesquieu and Machiavelli and Sánchez always chooses Machiavelli", has asserted, to emphasize that for the President of the Government "the end justifies the means".

Gamarra has pointed out that with this step there is an "interference in the Judicial Power" because the Supreme Court has already pronounced itself condemning those who carried out criminal conduct against the State. But with this criminal reform, he continued, a review of the sentences will be carried out and those who have pending cases with the Justice for "assaulting the constitutional order" will now be tried in "much more favorable conditions ".

"This is what the independence supporters are asking of him so that he can continue to be president of the Government of Spain and he is willing to give up anything in order to continue being so," emphasized the general secretary of the "popular" groups.

Moreover, he has indicated that with this step the equality of Spaniards before the law is broken because it is "a reform made to order" for those who "have not rendered accounts before the Justice" or so that those who have, they can be "applied a more beneficial treatment and correct the sentences", so that "they can be re-presented before the elections".

In his opinion, the Spaniards "deserve" a Prime Minister who "respects" that all citizens are equal before the law, and who does not make a reform to "generate favorable treatment" for his partners. As for whether he believes if this is going to have any cost for the socialist barons before the May elections, Gamarra has indicated that the PSOE "has to decide if the sanchismo has taken over it in its entirety" and if the regional presidents, The mayors and other intermediate officials support that the Spanish are not "equal before the law" and ratify Sánchez's policy of "weakening the State." "The Socialist Party must make a statement, beyond the general secretary", he emphasized.

The 'number two' of Alberto Núñez Feijóo has insisted that Sánchez is "buying time" but the Spanish "do not forget the lie" because the President of the Government promised a criminal reform in the opposite direction during the electoral campaign.
