Feijóo warns that Sánchez will use "all the springs" to stop the change of the PP but sentences: "Spain no longer believes him"

MADRID, 26 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has predicted this Tuesday that the head of the Executive, Pedro Sánchez, will raise "the tone" and will dedicate the final stretch of the legislature to "use all the resources of the State" to "stop the change" of the People's Party. However, he has ruled that it is "impossible" for him to recover the initiative because Spain "no longer listens to him" because it does not "believe" him.

"They are not going to make it easy for us. They are going to raise the tone, they are going to resort to insult as we are verifying. They are going to use all the resources of the State that they have at their disposal to stop the change and, of course, they are going to recover all the great successes that they have in their repertoire", emphasized Feijóo.

This is how he pronounced himself in his speech before the National Executive Committee of the PP, the last one before the summer vacations that he has dedicated to taking stock of the political course before his own and that takes place a few days after learning about the changes that Sánchez has made in the Socialist Executive and its Parliamentary Group.

Feijóo has affirmed that in the Government "they say they are implacable" against the rich but "they refuse to lower taxes on those who have less"; they call themselves "the most feminist" but "they shamelessly use a risky pregnancy to hide what a termination is like a piano"; they say "the most ecological but in these years they have all taken out the gold card of the Falcon".

"They say they are not leaving anyone behind, but they have left behind Luena, Carmen Calvo, Ábalos, Iván Redondo, Adriana Lastra, four parliamentary spokespersons, three chiefs of staff and 39 ministers in three years," he proclaimed, reaping applause from yours

In fact, Feijóo has alluded to these changes criticizing the "assortment of positions and the ideological assortment" in so few years. "I don't understand how Spain is still standing. I thank all Spaniards for their strength, their doubt," he ironized.

Feijóo has asked his people not to worry if Sánchez and his team try to "discredit" the PP because "nothing is more revealing" than pointing them out with that "forcefulness" as "the alternative to their disaster."

However, he has warned that, although in the Government "they open absurd discussions" to "not talk about important issues", they fall into "the clichés" and want to "draw attention", recovering the "lost initiative" is already in their "humble" opinion, "impossible": "Spain no longer listens to them because Spain no longer believes them",

In this situation, and after assuring that there is "an outcry" in favor of change, Feijóo has asked the PP to be a "strong and convincing alternative" that offers the Spanish "hope" because they cannot continue "even along the same path Not even with the government itself.

"There is a clamor because there are more and more Spaniards who are sure that we cannot continue like this," he added, adding that "populism and its lies" are being "exposed" and "generating enormous frustration."

At this point, the head of the opposition has harshly criticized that there are socialists who do not "raise their voices" against the "drift" of Pedro Sánchez, something that, in his opinion, makes them "accomplices in his actions."
