Feijóo warns Sánchez that he will act again if he registers a text equal to the one suspended by the TC

He sees an "invasion" of the Executive in the Judicial and Legislative Power and assures that the PSOE "has been kidnapped by Sánchez's party"

MADRID, 23 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, stressed this Thursday that the "accusations" against the Constitutional Court and the statements by Pedro Sánchez assuring that the Chambers have been "mute" by the ruling of the guarantee court is "mere populism" that "It is very reminiscent of the process". That said, he has warned that his party will act if the PSOE and its partners register the same text in Congress through another bill, despite the ruling of the TC.

"We will wait to see what the text of the law is. If the text is exactly the same as those amendments that were stopped by the Constitutional Court, we believe that we are returning again to an assumption of unconstitutionality because the Government robs judges of the power to appoint two members of the CGPJ and because it robs the Constitutional Court of the powers it has to prove the suitability of the candidates for TC magistrates", Feijóo declared when asked if the PP would appeal again for amparo if this initiative is presented.

In an interview on Antena 3, which has been collected by Europa Press, the president of the 'popular' has stressed that "everyone" is subject to the rule of law and in a State of Law "nobody can do what they want when they are infringing the law".

"What we have heard these days saying that the Chambers have been silenced by the Constitutional Court and the accusations against the Constitutional Court is mere populism and is very reminiscent of the 'procés'", he affirmed, recalling that then it was said that the TC could not stop "no law of Parliament" because it "could do whatever it wanted".

Feijóo has denounced the "frivolity" with which the institutions are being treated, citing as a last example the appearance on Monday night of the Minister of the Presidency, Felix Bolaños, "interrupting the public channel" on a "quiet night" to say " things as obvious as that they are going to abide by a ruling from the TC".

"Is it that for a moment the Government thought of not complying with an order of the TC?", it has been asked, to highlight that the only thing that has happened in Spain is that "the rule of law has worked" after filing an appeal of protection before the Constitution. Therefore

After criticizing the "overacting" of the Executive these days after knowing the decision of the guarantee court, Feijóo has also criticized the appearances that same night of the president of Congress, Meritxell Batet, and the president of the Senate, Ander Gil, presenting them as a statement institutional when that text "did not go through the table nor was it discussed with the spokespersons.

"It is not an institutional declaration but a unilateral declaration, which is perfectly managed by the Government, which invades the Legislative Power and now wants to invade the Judicial Power", he asserted, to denounce that this legislature the Executive of Pedro Sánchez has issued 133 laws that "without discussing" in Congress "come into force in the Official State Gazette".

In his opinion, this is an "invasion of the Executive Power in the Legislative Power" and "now they are also seeking" the "invasion of the Judicial Power", something that "had never been the practice of the PSOE", which was a "bulwark" of the Rule of Law and the Constitution but "unfortunately now Sánchez's party has made a takeover bid to the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party and it is no longer part of the basic pillars of the Rule of Law and democracy in Spain."

Feijóo has assured that the independentistas "today rule more than ever" and believes that ERC "never thought" that it could "send what it rules" because at this time in Spain a law or Budgets cannot be made "without the approval good" of that match. "And the Criminal Code of Junqueras, Puigdemont and Sánchez is the one that is now when it is published in the BOE in force", he lamented, to insist that what is happening is "contrary to the entire history of the PSOE and of the Spanish left".

The head of the opposition has stated that the "problem" with all this "is not that the independence movement fails" but that it is the left "that fails Spain" because "it has been kidnapped by Sánchez's party".

On this point, he has assured that now anyone who "moves" in the PSOE, "is either fired or expelled", citing the example of Joaquín Leguina, who is "more socialists than Mr. Sánchez" and has "contributed more to Spanish democracy".

Once again he has denounced that the processing and approval of this law that repeals sedition and reduces embezzlement has been done between December bridges, with the World Cup or coinciding with the Christmas Lottery draw, something that he has described as "unusual ".

Having said this, he has guaranteed that if he arrives in Moncloa, he will put the crime of sedition back on the same terms because Spain is the EU country "where there are more territorial tensions and an independence movement that has the key to the central government."

In addition, Feijóo has affirmed that it is a "boss" that the penalties for the crime of embezzlement are reduced, which he sees as "improper to the 21st century", since with this measure politicians will have less punishment than "a citizen who commits tax fraud ".

Thus, he recalled that Sánchez came to Moncloa promising to "intensify crimes of corruption" and "has decreased them for his partners and probably for his party", something that, in his opinion, represents "electoral fraud".

Finally, Feijóo has indicated that "of course" the Sánchez government is legitimate because it won the elections and no one disputes that, but he has stressed that it has "deceived" the voters because what it is doing "did not submit to the polls". . "It is the first time that it has happened in an unprecedented way in Spain," he stated.
