MADRID, 25 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, will meet this Tuesday with the National Executive Committee of the PP to take stock of the political course and set the priorities of the PP in the face of the "challenges" that Spain will face in the autumn, with economic and energy "uncertainties", according to sources from the party's leadership have pointed out to Europa Press.

It will be the last Executive Committee of the PP -which brings together the management committee and the territorial 'barons', among others-- before the summer holidays in August and Feijóo will dedicate part of his speech to reviewing the pact offers and proposals that he has sent to Pedro Sánchez and that have not received a response. "We haven't even received an acknowledgment of receipt," they complain in 'Genoa'.

In an economic key, Feijóo will recall the proposals offered by his party in the face of the crisis, at a time when inflation is at 10.2%, fuel prices continue to skyrocket, the shopping basket continues to grow and the energy situation is way to get worse in fall.

Apart from the reduction of IRPP, the reduction of bureaucratic and superfluous spending and the streamlining of European funds, the leader of the opposition will emphasize the energy problem, after the recommendation of the European Commission to reduce consumption by 15% gas and the government's refusal to support it.

According to Feijóo, it is "essential" that Spain promote a "responsible and serious" energy saving plan to reduce "unnecessary consumption" and that it be agreed with the municipalities to reduce, for example, night lighting, as he stated a few days ago in Valencia.

The fires that affect Spain will be another of the issues that will be on the table, at a time when the fire has devastated more than 60,000 hectares these days. The PP has defended that the Government preactivate Army units so that they are prepared when forest fires threaten to devastate populations, and that European funds be allocated to fire prevention policies.

Almost five months after the arrival of Feijóo to the Presidency of the PP, after a deep internal crisis that took the leadership of Pablo Casado ahead, the meeting of the Executive Committee will also serve to take stock in the internal sphere.

With the wind in favor of the polls -with some that even give him almost 60 seats above the PSOE-, Feijóo has asked his people to be cautious and not to trust. Of course, in 'Genoa' they admit that the Andalusian elections have served to confirm a "change of cycle" in Spain.

Three days after the Federal Committee of the PSOE, with which Sánchez seeks a revulsive that breathes new life into his Government to stop the 'Feijóo effect', the 'popular' reject that this remodeling will serve the chief executive to come back because, in his opinion, understand, "the problem is himself", that he cannot go out into the street.

"Now the internal crisis is installed in the PSOE", highlights Feijóo's team, which stresses that all the movements of the Prime Minister seek their political "survival" in the Moncloa Palace.

In addition, PP sources criticize the chief of the Executive for his continuous changes in the Government, in the Socialist Group and in the Executive of the party. "The management of human capital also measures politicians," stress sources from the PP leadership, who emphasize that a good part of Feijóo's team has been with him for more than a decade.

In the ranks of the PP there is a divergence of opinions on whether or not Sánchez can advance the general elections. Some PP officials consulted by Europa Press believe that he can opt for an electoral "super Sunday" in May to take advantage of the pull of the mayors.

However, other leaders believe that the legislature will wear out, especially when now all the polls are favorable to the PP and an early election could take Feijóo directly to Moncloa.

For now, in 'Genoa' they assure that they are "prepared" and that they will continue working these months to build the "alternative" of the PP, given that, according to what they assure, Sánchez will ultimately do what is best for his "electoral and personal interests ", according to the sources consulted.
