Feijóo announces a PP energy plan and makes it ugly that Sánchez relies on the "plurinational" bloc

He reiterates that the Executive has not spoken with his party and insists on criticizing the "improvisation" and "opacity" for not agreeing with the PP

PONTEVEDRA, 25 Aug. (EUROPE PRESS) -

The national president of the Popular Party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, announced today that the PP will present its own energy saving plan, a plan with "energy policies" and not "improvisations" such as those that, he has reiterated, are included in the Royal Decree that the Government has brought to the plenary session of Congress. In this context, he has made Sánchez ugly that he relies on the "plurinational" bloc to approve the Decree Law on saving measures and not on the PP.

In statements to the media before completing a section of the Camino de Santiago as it passes through the city of Pontevedra, Núñez Feijóo has reiterated the reasons why the 'popular' do not support the Royal Decree of the Sánchez Executive.

Thus, he has insisted that the measures contemplated have not had the consensus of the affected sectors or of the public administrations that must apply them, and he has criticized the fact that the Government has refused to speak with the main opposition party.

On the other hand, he lamented, that it will be supported to approve the Royal Decree "in what Podemos has called the block of the multinational majority." "I regret that the Government prefers to agree with Bildu and with the Republican Left rather than with the PP", he stated, while warning that his party is not in the block "of the majority of the parties that believe in the plurinationality of Spain", but in that of "the majority of citizens".

Thus, Núñez Feijóo has announced that "of course" the PP will present "an energy plan and with energy policies", in the face of the Executive's measures, such as "taking off your tie in one act and putting it on in the next" or "turning off shop windows at 10 p.m. without respecting the freedom of schedules".

The national leader of the PP has once again denounced that the Government "unfortunately" did not heed the proposals made by his party "long ago" and now intends to be the first in Europe to adopt actions that have not been agreed upon.

"Faced with this improvisation and this opacity", he remarked, "the PP asks the Government to sit down and talk and not only about frivolous issues", but about political measures to improve energy production, measures in the tax area, or "if it has or it doesn't make sense to continue with collections of 4,000 million euros for CO2 emissions".
