Echenique demands, after the decree of the Prosecutor's Office, that those who have criticized Irene Montero apologize

He says that they are waiting but they have not received a proposal from Díaz and he believes that analyzing her relationship with Iglesias is macho

BARCELONA, Nov. 23 (EUROPA PRESS) -

The spokesman for Unidas Podemos in Congress, Pablo Echenique, has demanded today that those who have criticized her apologize to the Minister of Equality, Irene Montero, after the Attorney General's Office has issued a decree asking that the sentences not be modified if they can be dictated with the new legal framework of the so-called Law of "only yes is yes".

This has been claimed during an interview on La 2 and Ràdio 4 this Wednesday, collected by Europa Press. Echenique has regretted that the Minister of Equality, Irene Montero, suffers a "disgusting hunt" for the application of the Law of Guarantees of Sexual Freedom, better known as the Law of 'only yes is yes', and the reduction of sentences for convicted and he has attributed it to the structural machismo that in his opinion prevails in Spanish society.

He has considered that the people who have participated in the criticism must rectify after the State Attorney General's Office (FGE) advocated not modifying the previously imposed sentence if it can be dictated with the new criminal framework: "Let him sing the 'mea culpa' and apologize."

He has insisted that "some magistrates misapply the law based on a macho conception of life" and has defended that others do act professionally.

Echenique has considered that analyzing the relationship between the former purple leader Pablo Iglesias and the current second vice president of the Government, Yolanda Díaz, has a "quite important macho stink" by ignoring that the current general secretary of Podemos is Ione Belarra.

He has described as possible that Podemos concur together with the project under construction of the vice president, Sumar, and has explained that for the moment the purple ones are "in a waiting pattern" and that they have not received any concrete proposal.

"Agreements occur when the two parties want to reach an agreement and, if that happens, and that will is on the negotiating table, all the obstacles are eliminated one by one," he has settled.
