Cs sees Segoviano's words on self-determination as "worrying" and calls for "less oxygen" for the independence movement

MADRID, 3 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Ciudadanos has branded this Tuesday as "worrying" the words of the new magistrate of the Constitutional Court (TC) María Luisa Segoviano, who pointed out that self-determination "is a complex issue" that when the time comes it should be "studied", at the same time that it has asked for "less oxygen cylinders" for the independence movement.

"This is a very complex issue, extremely complex. It is an issue with many edges that must be studied," said the until recently president of the Social Chamber of the Supreme Court (TS), adding that "there is no to be afraid of any approach, of any position, of any suggestion" that can be made to the TC. "Nothing must be rejected out of hand, but it does not mean that it is accepted, that must be made very clear," she clarified.

The Deputy Secretary General of Citizens, Edmundo Bal, has indicated through his account on the social network Twitter that "reiterating the same imprudence is worrying", questioning Segoviano and transferring to him that "with the Constitution there are no doubts or hesitations".

"Self-determination has no place in the Magna Carta and you know it," he continued, before demanding "less oxygen balloons for the independence movement."
