Carlos III declares himself "moved" by the "affection" after the death of his mother

MADRID, 15 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) -

King Charles III of England and the rest of the royal family have declared in a statement "moved" by "the global response and affection" shown by the population after the death of Queen Elizabeth II last Thursday.

The Royal House wants to express its "sincere gratitude" for the messages of condolences received since then, which some of the members of the royal family have collected in person in multiple approaches to the population.

Prince William and his wife, Catherine, now Princes of Wales, have spoken with citizens this Thursday as they approached to see the offerings in tribute to the late monarch deposited next to the official residence of Sandringham, in the English county of Norfolk.

The main citizen tribute to Elizabeth II began on Wednesday in London with the opening of a burning chapel that will remain open continuously for almost four days. It will close on Monday, hours before her state funeral.
