The minister calls the PP's speech "shame on others" and affirms that Feijóo's PP is the same as that of Casado, Rajoy and Aznar

MADRID, 17 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Minister of the Presidency, Relations with the Courts and Democratic Memory, Félix Bolaños, assured this Sunday that the president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, "it was very good for him" not to participate in the debate on the State of the Nation, held this week , because "Spain is too big for him" and he has branded the speech used by the popular "other people's shame".

"Feijóo was delighted not to participate because that way he will think 'the less the Spaniards know me, the better'. He does not have a single idea for Spain," he said at an event in Colmenar Viejo (Madrid) in which he was accompanied by the General of the PSOE-Madrid, Juan Lobato.

Bolaños has attacked the attitude taken by the PP by using ETA "in a mean way" "which ended ten years ago" and has accused them of "being with the clock stopped for decades". For this reason, he has reaffirmed that the PSOE must continue betting on public policies, for the benefit of the social majority.

"The PP was disoriented and knocked out. They don't have a single idea. They continue with their own, with the big electricity companies and the financial entities and we with the working class. Nothing new under the sun," he said.

In this regard, he added that there are two ways of doing politics and compared the way out of the crisis in 2012, the current position taken by the PSOE to deal with the pandemic and the war between Ukraine and Russia. "We already know what the PP recipes are to get out of crises. They are based on injustice, cuts and austerity and social cruelty. Instead, we want to strengthen the welfare state," he asserted.

In this context, Bolaños has pointed out that society "knows very well" Feijóo's PP because "they are the same as those of Casado, Mariano Rajoy and Aznar." Likewise, he has explained that the tax announced for electricity companies and banks, which in his opinion will raise more than 7,000 million euros, responds to the need for "those who have the most to pay and thus not always pay the same" .

In relation to the free public transport service from September to December, the minister has insisted that the action, in the case of Madrid, will help save 240 euros per person in the four months of the measure. "There are two ways of doing things. One is the one we use, helping the social majority to deal with inflation, and the other is the one on the right: helping people with more than 8,000 euros a month at the expense of the working class", he added.
