Belarra denounces a "coup strategy" on the right and that the anti-abortion plan in CyL shows that they are "wild"

ZARAGOZA, 21 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The leader of Podemos and Minister of Social Rights, Ione Belarra, has affirmed that the controversy with the attempt to launch anti-abortion measures in Castilla y León adds to an international reactionary movement against the voluntary interruption of pregnancy, whose germ is the revocation decreed by the Supreme Court of the United States against that right.

He has also warned that there is a "resurgence of the coup strategy" of the right, "wild" in the face of the progressive measures that its formation promotes, within the Executive.

This has been transferred during a party event in Zaragoza to support the Podemos candidates in Aragon for the upcoming May elections, in addition to commemorating the ninth anniversary of the formation that took place last Tuesday, January 17.

And it is that Belarra has indicated that there is a movement that opposes the advances of feminism, after the massive demonstration in the United States against abortion and the recent intention of Vox, together with the PP, to launch a plan against this right, although now the popular say that it is a "ghost" protocol.

Precisely yesterday, the Government accepted its request to the Junta de Castilla y León based on the letter sent to it by the Executive headed by Alfonso Fernández Mañueco, but in light of new statements by the spokesman for the regional Executive regarding the intention to adopt new measures for the care of pregnant women who wish to abort, warned that it will act if they materialize.

In fact, he has countered that while a political force in the Government, in reference to the PSOE, wanted to leave things as they are with respect to the Abortion Law, another in allusion to his party is clear that "the right is stopped with more rights" and for this reason they proposed the reform of the regulations, to eliminate the three days of reflection regarding the voluntary interruption of pregnancy. "We have to protect women", he has launched it next.

In addition, Belarra has launched that the conservative sectors of the country, given the ability of Podemos to make the measures advocated by Podemos a reality, are "wild" and are going to deploy "all the noise of the right".

Moreover, he has assured that this "savagery" on the right is a consequence of the ability that Podemos has shown, with its participation in the executive, to make "possible" and "feasible" measures that were considered impossible, such as raising the minimum wage interprofessional, the minimum vital income, the laws advocated by Equality or the cap on the price of gas.

Therefore, he has predicted that there will be a "resurgence of the coup strategy of the right" and has once again denounced, although it is not talked about so much anymore, with "infinite gravity" the old conservative majority sector in the Constitutional Court suspended the parliamentary processing of its reform to unlock the renewal that was pending at the time.

On the other hand, it has also claimed that certain measures can only be undertaken if Podemos manages to be the majority force in the state Executive, as well as in regional and municipal governments.

For example, he has stressed that if his party were already the majority partner of the coalition, he would not be afraid to change the law to reduce majorities in order to renew the General Council of the Judiciary, now "kidnapped" by the pp.

Finally, the general secretary of Podemos has confronted that while her formation resists "pressure" and "attacks" from the media, it was only necessary to give a "little touch" to the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, from certain sectors to "place himself outside the legality and the Constitution" refusing to renew the governing body of judges, whose replacement has been blocked for four years.
