Belarra demands that Sánchez not "follow" the US by sending tanks and lead the diplomatic channel

The leader of Podemos and Minister of Social Rights, Ione Belarra, has requested that Spain should not adopt a "following position" of the United States (USA) on sending battle tanks to Ukraine, and has proposed that the Government lead European level the diplomatic way to resolve the conflict.

Therefore, he has reaffirmed that the appropriate thing is to "change the correlation of forces" at the community level and not align with other community countries (referring to Poland and the Baltic nations) and the US that are in favor of sending those tanks.

Questioned by the statements made yesterday by the second vice president, Yolanda Díaz, who expressed her concern about the qualitative leap that the shipment of tanks implied in terms of weapons without going into further considerations about the decision and also advocating diplomacy, Belarra has limited herself to expose the position of Podemos, which have been "very clear" since the beginning of the war in indicating that peace will be achieved through dialogue. Finally, the leader of Podemos has also stressed that the consequences of the conflict are also "paid" in markets such as Vallecas, in relation to the rise in food prices, all Spanish.
