At least six soldiers have died and 14 have been injured after the attack perpetrated by a group of "jihadists" against the military post of Blabrine, in the southeast of Niger, near the border with Chad, as announced by the Nigerien authorities on Tuesday. .

The attack would have been perpetrated by at least 50 alleged members of Boko Haram, of whom 17 would have lost their lives after the confrontation with the security forces of Niger, as reported by the Ministry of Defense of the African country in a statement to which it has had access 'Actu Niger'.

According to the letter from the Nigerien Ministry of Defense, the "energetic response of the military" would have made it possible to repel the attack carried out by some fifty "heavily armed" individuals from the south, in Nigeria.
