Amazon shares will trade 20 times cheaper this Monday after its 'split'

MADRID, 6 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Amazon shares will trade this Monday at a price twenty times lower than the closing of the session last Friday, after executing the split by which each old title was divided into 20 new ones.

This is the fourth 'split' of Amazon shares since the multinational began trading in 1997, although it is the first split of the multinational's titles since 1999.

Specifically, the unit price of each Amazon split title was set at $122.35, down twenty times from $2,447 at the close on Friday. Amazon shares hit an intraday high of $3,773.08.

Last March, Amazon announced its intention to undertake a 'split' of shares of 20 titles for each old one, by which shareholders will receive 19 additional shares for each one that they had registered on June 3, 2022 and whose admission to quote will be this Monday.
