Abascal affirms that "the majority of Spaniards and half of Podemos" think the same as the Vox deputy about Montero

MADRID, 26 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The leader of Vox, Santiago Abascal, has assured this Saturday that the "vast" majority of Spaniards and "half of Podemos" thinks the same as the deputy of Vox Carla Toscano about the Minister of Equality, Irene Montero, and has admitted that he is glad that the Government has shown unity around the leader of Podemos because, in this way, they have portrayed themselves "along with the worst of Spanish politics".

This was expressed in an interview on esRadio, collected by Europa Press, in relation to the row that took place this week in the Plenary Session of Congress over Toscano's words in which he stated that Montero's only merit is "having studied in depth "to her husband and former leader of Podemos, Pablo Iglesias.

"This week in Parliament we have seen how a deputy, for saying what the vast majority of Spaniards and half of Podemos think, by the way, was viciously attacked, even from the Parliament Table," Abascal pointed out. In this key, he has asserted that until now it had never happened that the members of the Bureau had "rebuked" a deputy while she was speaking on the rostrum.

Likewise, he has stressed that there had not been a marriage in the Council of Ministers, thus alluding to the moment in which Pablo Iglesias was Vice President of the Government and Minister of Social Rights until he left the portfolio to be a candidate for Podemos in the Community of Madrid . "Something inconceivable in the Western political world has been taken for granted and would also be inconceivable in the business world. Here it has been accepted," he added.

However, he has stressed that in Vox they are happy that the Executive "portrays" joining ranks around the Minister of Equality as it also does, in his words, with ERC and EH Bildu. Thus, in this way, the Spanish "see clearly" that the Sánchez government supports a minister who "has supported pedophilia in public, the relations of minors with adults, a minister who is responsible for the release of rapists, who just look for social confrontation."

In this context, Abascal has promoted the rallies that Vox has called this Sunday in all the provincial capitals. In his opinion, taking to the streets is "therapy" against the government: "The therapy is to take to the streets, protest, it is to show your teeth to this government and it is the therapy prior to the final one, which is to vote" .

"It is true that we run a risk, that of getting used to the progressive degeneration of the Spanish institutions and political system that we have suffered since Sánchez came to power, who came to power lying and has made a series of decisions agreeing with all the enemies of Spain , of the constitutional order, which are having very serious consequences for the institutions, society and the way of life of the Spaniards and which seek to alter not only our nation but also society itself", he argued.

Faced with this, the Vox leader has taken the opportunity to encourage the Spaniards to "react strongly" and "mobilize" to "not ignore what is happening." "We cannot only aspire to protest in the street or win an election, we must make an amendment to the entirety, we must make a radical change of positions, we must change everything they have done, everything they have degraded must be rebuild it", has settled.
