A man has killed two women and later committed suicide this Thursday night in the parking lot of the 'Cornerstone' church in the town of Ames, in the state of Iowa, in the second shooting of the day in the United States and following US President Joe Biden's request to Congress to ban assault weapons in the country.
The shooting occurred shortly before 7:00 p.m. (local time) and when the agents arrived at the scene they found two women and a man dead, the city's police chief, Nicholas Lennie, confirmed. and as reported by the US network NBC News.
The man has been identified as the prime suspect and there is no threat to the community, Lennie added.
