Among the 7,000 employees interviewed from January to march, 69% reported a lack of information on the vast transformation that had begun in 2018 by the CEO, Alexandre Bompard, with thousands of deletions of positions of the key. 76% said they did not have confidence in the business to evolve.

However, 63% say they feel well at the Crossroads, "because of the friendliness between colleagues and a social status a little higher than the average for the large-scale distribution," observed Bruno Mouty, responsible CFDT to the group committee.

68% feel exhausted-physically and 65% morally, so that their work load has increased for 77% of them. 38% believe they have had health problems, and 25% said they take drugs or stimulants to cause labor.

The survey collected more than 4,000 verbatim, where the employees regret that we will not be associated with the transformation plan, to be "always put in front of the accomplished fact". The CFDT, who will present these results to the AG shareholders, would like to work with Carrefour with a view to "positive results" during the next edition of this barometer in 2021.

More than 50% of employees believe that their working conditions have deteriorated further with the pandemic. They acknowledge that they have personal protective equipment sufficient, with a downside in the franchise but find the safety distances to be insufficiently met. They demand tests and fear the "vast majority" of be contaminated at their job, especially as colleagues have been.

"I can't give you any figures on infections and deaths, the company refusing to communicate on the subject," said Sylvain Macé. The CFDT request the establishment of a "true health service internal" endowed with means and health professionals.

The secretary-general of the CFDT Services Olivier Guivarch also hopes the initiative "I note my box" will be repeated in other companies. He regretted that the large-scale distribution has not acted at the level of the branch for recognition of the effort made during the crisis of the Covid: "We had a race to the shallot of the patrons of the great distribution."
