For the now 14-year-old Farida and family, the matter is a tragedy. For the Norwegian asylum policy, the matter is chiefly interesting. Therefore, it should go all the way to the Supreme court again. The parties disagree on the most part, however, both the UNE and the family's lawyer, the experienced asyladvokaten Arild Humlen, see clear questions of principle.
Farida and her mother first got a permit to stay in Norway because they were without male caregiver. After that his father also came to the country, was the terms changed and their was withdrawn. Eventually, the family was sent to Afghanistan.
