Rent, unemployment, gas, diesel : what's changing on 1 July

The new features that are coming into effect this Monday for your budget are numerous. Here they are.

The menu for the month of July : a significant decrease of regulated prices of gas, a slight increase of the allowances job seekers. What approach the summer season on the right foot...

• Sharp decline in regulated prices of gas

After a decline of 0.5% in June, the pre-tax price of gas regulated decrease by an average of 6.8%, has announced the commission of energy regulation. About 4 million homes have retained these rates, marketed by Engie.

• +0.7% for the unemployment benefits

For the allowance of return to employment (ARE), the appreciation of the 1st of July will be the same in 2018, or 0.7%. Will benefit 94% of job seekers compensated, either some 2.6 million people. This increase relates to the allowances payable for July, paid in August.

In detail, the minimum allocation goes from 29.06 to 29,26€ per day, the fixed part of the AER from 11,92 to 12€.

The reference wage of beneficiaries, which serves as the basis for the calculation of the AER, increases of 0.7%, provided that they are compensated for more than six months. Unemployed people on benefit since there is little benefit, therefore, not of this revaluation, unless they receive the minimum allocation or whether they are affected by the fixed part of the AER.

as a reminder, the AER is determined from the daily wage of reference (SJR), which takes account of your wages for the last 12 months). The SJR by is multiplied by 40.4 per cent to which is added a fixed part (12€ now), or multiplied by 57%. The result of the more favourable of the two calculations is taken into account in setting the daily allowance. If it is less than the minimum allocation, it is the one that is selected (details here).

• Work : the Eco-PTZ again relaxed

You intend to carry out work to save energy ? Starting in July, all dwellings completed for more than two years are entitled to the loan, green to a zero rate. Up here, it was necessary that the house or apartment has been completed before 1 January 1990. Another novelty : the insulation work of the bottom floors are now concerned.

• Control, emission control more stringent for diesels

The test emission control achieved in the technical control of diesel cars will now be more detailed, in terms of particulate matter emitted from the exhaust pipe, by reason of the entry into force of a new standard on smoke opacity. The measure would apply from January, but was shifted to six months in response to the movement of the yellow vests.

Objective : "improved detection of surémissions of particles, such as those caused by the clogging of the particulate filters", according to the ministry of the ecological Transition, and solidarity.

• Paris: "Crit'Air 4" banished for the day in week

If your vehicle has a sticker Crit'Air 4, you will no longer have the right to ride in the capital of 8h to 20h, Monday to Friday. As for the vehicles Crit'Air 5 or not classified, they will be banned on the device, but also in the woods of Vincennes and Boulogne. These restrictions come into force on the 1st July.
