Quebec tour, a new recruitment mission to the Belle province

From 17 to 23 November, experts, and companies come to France advisor and to recruit the people tempted by Quebec.

This autumn, la Belle Province is definitely everywhere. After the huge operation carried out in October and christened "the Month of Québec in France," and before the now essential Days Quebec (scheduled on 30 November and 1 December in Paris), place in "Quebec tour". This initiative to success, who returns for a 5th edition, will go through Bordeaux (17 November), Toulouse (19), Marseille (21) and Paris (23).

The program of this free event, which brings together several private experts in international mobility (including a law firm, a bank or even a company specialized in the reception and settlement of newcomers) : a series of lectures on the processes of immigration, job search in Québec, the banking system or health insurance. In parallel, visitors are offered the opportunity to meet individually with the different stakeholders and to discuss specifically their desire for a change of life.

"Many come to ask questions about the delays in obtaining visas, registration of children in school, housing, etc., This is a very real one", underlines Lucie Brault, founder and president of the "Quebec tour". "The participants appreciate the opportunity to obtain tailor-made solutions, especially as immigration is not an adventure to be taken lightly... We still see too many people who had good projects but have not been able to materialize due to lack of information or support."

For the first time - and in order to respond to the exceptional shortage of manpower in the Belle Province, "Quebec tour" has a chapter on "recruitment". Five companies (IBM, Nurun, Systematix, Microcom and GLBC Inc.) taking part in the tour de France and offer, in total, thirty job offers, mainly in the areas of information technology and the aerospace industry. "This is not a job fair, the meetings with the employers are by appointment only, specifies Lucie Brault. For this, it is necessary to apply and submit their CV on the site. The company will then take care to select candidates that it wishes to receive maintenance."

Good to know : even if you have not received a notice for a meeting, all is not lost ! In fact, if your profile has attracted the attention of a company, it is not impossible that it will send a reply either in a few months if she is facing new needs. What's more, the team of "Quebec tour" invites candidates with skills in demand in la Belle Province (technicians specializing in engineering, electromechanical engineering, electrical engineering, etc) to put their CV on the site, even if they don't see an offer corresponding exactly to their profile. "We will be able to transmit these nominations to québec companies that were not able to make the move but who are struggling to find employees in these areas", says the responsible.

Because the event is also the opportunity to create a network...
