"This decision is designed to ease the formalities required of foreign students who were in the process of completing their program of studies but who, because of a health emergency and of the temporary suspension of their course, need to extend their stay in Quebec", specifies the official press release of the Ministry of Immigration, Francization and Integration (MIFI).Your support is essential. These students will thus be able to submit a request for an extension of their study permit to the federal government without having to join a new CAQ, which will allow them to maintain their temporary resident status and complete their program of study. It should be noted that there is no charge for this extension.
