"This cap covers the expenses of approximately 85% to 90% of the establishments in the world of the night," said Alain Griset to the press. The department evaluates the total cost of the measure to 50 million euros for 1600 companies concerned.

The criteria of turnover, number of employees, loss of income will no longer apply to companies in this sector in order "not to have a risk of closures of companies," said Alain Griset.

representatives of The sector, the national Grouping of independent hotels and restaurants (GNI-UNHCR), the French association of operators of discotheques and dance halls (AFEDD), the Union of trades and industries de l'hotellerie (UMIH) and the national Union of discos and places of leisure (SNDLL) welcomed the taking into account of the difficulties of their companies. "The meeting was interesting, with a decision very fast that will allow us to take a few more weeks with this crisis," said Michael Fox, of the GNI.

But the SNDLL note that "the content of the exchanges does not meet all of our demands," including the highly anticipated reopening of the institutions. "Today, we are under the infusion, but it is not with the aid that we are going to get, it is essential that we be able to meet the minister of Health to find out how to re-open as soon as possible," argued Michael Fox.
