It is 103 000 km long and contains 239 057 islands and 81 192 cut. We're talking about the Norwegian coastline that is around 2.5 times as long as the line around the equator. In other words we are many nice places to visit in the summer.

Now the season has started for many of the users of the nearly 1 million Norwegian summer. Many of the boat owners will take advantage of the many good, and some not quite so good, gjestehavnene along the coast. Gjestehavner that provides shelter, safety, service and great experiences.

Previously both the Farsund in southern norway, Finnøy in Møre and Romsdal and Klokkergården on Rødøy in Nordland county has been in the top in Dagbladet gjestehavnkåringer.

But where is the best gjestehavnene in the summer of 2020?

We let some of the Boat-Norway's most experienced småbåteksperter pick out their favorites.

Several of the experts point at Klokkergården Marina on Rødøy in Nordland county as their favorite. Others choose This or Ålesund at the top of their list. Here you can see the shortlists in the front of this year's Norgesferie.

Ålesund. Art nouveau-city Ålesund has a completely sheltered guest harbour from all kind of winds and the sea, and it is wonderful to arrive after a tough race. Gjestehavna is well located between the well-preserved jugendbygningene and the cabins in Brosundet.

Vågen in Bergen. Båtbyen Bergen was the capital of Norgesveldet, medieval North-Atlantic kingdom, and later part of the German hanseatic League. From bergen is still the boaters and it's nice to be in the Bay

By boat you can add in the centre of the capital, with a view to the Akershus fortress, which is lit up during the night, a short distance to the royal Palace and Karl Johans gate shopping street and with access to all the nightlife of Aker Brygge, and from other pleasures.
