The association Ariane Skills & Management wants to deprive them of public money to the contractors who do not update their skills. Problem: the supply of training does not follow.
The proposal seems radical. The association Ariane Skills & Management, which brings together different profiles from the world of business (small or large), public service, and of trade unionism, suggests to condition the public aid granted to SMES for the skills of their leaders. "When the State or territorial communities to provide assistance to these companies, they could legitimately ask for an evaluation of their leaders, in order to detect their training needs, and by imposing then the forms of learning tailored to what they are".
"A good initial training is not enough"
The association is based on the observation that managers of SMES do not sufficiently update their skills. "A good initial training, you can launch its project with success," says one of its representatives, Thierry Aumonnier. But there comes a stage of development where it is no longer enough. You don't have a stock of skills 'to life'. It takes continuous training to adapt. Leaders often say that they don't have the time. This is more of an excuse than a real reason. As for the lack of money raised too, it is a valid argument in the sense that they pay for training for their employees, never for them!"

Julien Leclercq, the head of the agency of press and communication It press, confirms the reality of the need of skills: "as an entrepreneur, we must be knives-swiss, but it was always of the tools failing. That may be excellent commercial, technician, manager, lawyer, tax consultant, communicating... ?"
"Know how to impose to people what they will not regret"
