Yolanda Díaz appears as the exporter of Podemos and former secretary of Equality Noelia Vera as her new 'Dircom'

The second vice president and Minister of Labor, Yolanda Díaz, has signed the former Secretary of State for Equality and former spokesperson for Podemos Noelia Vera as her new communications director, according to sources from this department.

The incorporation of Vera, a journalist by profession, occurs after the previous communications director during the last legislature, Virginia Uzal, was appointed at this stage as Díaz's new chief of staff.

With the entry of Podemos into the previous coalition government, former Minister of Equality Irene Montero chose in January 2020 to choose Vera as her 'number two' and positioning her as one of her closest collaborators. However, in September 2021 she resigned from the position and also her position on the Podemos Executive and her replacement in both cases was the purple leader Ángela Rodríguez 'Pam'.

During her political period, she became one of the best-known faces of Podemos by serving as spokesperson for the party, which she shared with the leader Pablo Echenique, and she also held the feminism area in the direction of Podemos after being elected in the primaries of the last citizen assembly of Podemos, within the list of the current general secretary of the formation, Ione Belarra.

She was also a deputy in Congress from 2015 until her resignation in 2021 for the Cádiz constituency and was in the team of former Podemos leader Pablo Iglesias in the Vistalegre II assembly where the dispute with the 'errejonista' sector occurred.

In her farewell to politics for personal reasons, Vera had words of gratitude for Irene Montero, Belarra and Iglesias, who also dedicated messages of support and recognition to her career.

Vera has a degree in Journalism from the Complutense University of Madrid, has a master's degree in Agency Journalism and has worked in media outlets such as Diario de Cádiz, CNN, Telemadrid and 'eldiario.es'.

On the other hand, it will also incorporate the economist and former deputy Segundo González, who was budget spokesman for Unidas Podemos in Congress, in the economic team of the Ministry of Labor.

With the split in Podemos and the creation of Más País by Íñigo Errejón, González was the head of the party's list for the Asturias constituency in the last 2019 elections.
