The Mossos d'Esquadra are investigating three more sexual assaults in the Badalona shopping center (Barcelona) in which a minor under 11 years of age was the victim of a sexual assault, sources close to the case have informed Europa Press.
As confirmed by the Badalona City Council to Europa Press this Wednesday, on Tuesday afternoon a meeting was held with representatives of the shopping center, the Germans Trias i Pujol University Hospital, Guàrdia Urbana and Mossos d'Esquadra to address the recent cases "on sexist aggressions against minors and young people".
In this sense, the Mossos and the local police have enabled a device in the area and have implemented a series of security measures that affect the interior and exterior of the compound, such as foot patrols.
The City Council has also explained that it maintains its willingness to appear, in the exercise of public prosecution, to "defend these cases of victims of sexual assault."
The investigation began after a complaint by a minor under 11 years of age of having been "touched" by a group of underage boys in the bathroom of the shopping center on March 7.
