The Russian Forces destroy weapons of western manufacture in Jershon area

The Russian Dnepr battle group has destroyed Ukrainian Western-made weapons in the Kherson area using high-precision ammunition to inflict maximum damage on enemy armored vehicles and troops, according to a statement from the Russian Defense Ministry.

"Russian artillery units continue to fulfill their combat mission in the special military operation, attacking the artillery positions of the Ukrainian armed forces, annihilating defenses, suppressing command points and firepower of the enemy. Msta-crews B of the Dnepr battle group destroyed Western-made weapons and equipment of the Ukrainian army through counterbattery fire in the Kherson area," the statement explains.

The Ministry of Defense has added that "Russian forces were using high-precision munitions to cause the greatest possible damage to enemy armored vehicles and troops. Drone operators monitor the work of howitzer teams, adjust fire and "report the results of the attacks to those in the firing positions in real time."

"They mainly try to cross the Dnieper at night; most of the action and work takes place at night as we try to prevent the enemy from reaching this bank," said a commander crew with the call sign Cuba.

The Msta-S is a 152-millimeter self-propelled howitzer designed to eliminate and suppress various types of enemy combat equipment and troops, destroy defensive sites, and impede the maneuver of enemy infantry and tank reserves. The Russian Defense Ministry has repeatedly released video footage showing these howitzers hitting enemy targets in the special military operation in Ukraine.
