The pro-Russian authorities in Donetsk describe the situation on the flanks around Bajmut as "complicated".

MADRID, 6 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The leader of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), Denis Pushilin, has described as "complicated" the situation on the flanks of the front around the city of Bakhmut, which has become a town of vital importance in the framework of the Russian invasion of the territory.

"The situation on Bakhmut's flanks is quite complicated," he told the Russian journalist Vladimir Solovyov's channel on YouTube. Pushilin has indicated that "there have been no major changes in the positions of the troops in recent days" although he has said that "some improvements" have been registered.

Thus, he explained that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have bombarded the area with drones, so it is not safe to send specialists from the Russian Emergencies Ministry. "It is not yet possible to send officials to the vicinity," she asserted, ruling out the deployment of civilians.

In this sense, he has asserted that the authorities have a work plan for the reconstruction of the city and has affirmed that "the important thing is to achieve an improvement in the energy sector."
