MADRID, 22 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The PP has decided to minimize the acronym of the Popular Party in the act against the amnesty that it has called this Sunday in the Plaza de Felipe II with the aim of giving more prominence to the flags of Spain and the autonomous communities, as reported to Europe Press 'popular' sources.

At the gates of the investiture of Alberto Núñez Feijóo, the PP wants this act of protest to bring together citizens of any political affiliation who are against the "cacicada" that Pedro Sánchez intends with the independentists after his words from New York " speaking openly about the possibility of an amnesty".

In this context, the PP has decided to minimize the PP scenery, so that the flags of Spain and the autonomies "will have more prominence than the initials of the Popular Party because Feijóo is going to the investiture with the support of several parties and does so as election of His Majesty the King."

In this sense, according to the same sources, the PP wants its act to "transcend the acronym" of the party because Feijóo will attend this investiture debate with the support of Vox, UPN and the Canarian Coalition, 172 seats with four to go for the majority. absolute.

In addition, the PP has publicly invited socialists dissatisfied with Sánchez's steps to its event. "I expressly invite everyone, card-carrying socialists, expelled socialists, socialists at heart, conservatives, liberals, that is, all Spaniards who today are worried because equality between all Spaniards is going to be broken," he said a few days ago the party spokesperson, Borja Sémper.

The PP aspires to exceed 10,000 people in the Plaza de Felipe II, as sources from the national leadership have told Europa Press, although they already predict that this square will be "small on Sunday" due to the mobilization that is taking place. .

Thus, the PP has "very optimistic" attendance forecasts, given that in some territories buses have been chartered so that "militants and non-militants can attend this event in defense of the equality of Spaniards, which will be the axis of the intervention by Alberto Núñez Feijóo both on Sunday and Tuesday in Congress, as indicated by the same sources.

Feijóo assured this Thursday that only the PP project will prevent the "infamy" of the amnesty from being consumed, and against it he will use "all means to avoid it." "We only owe ourselves to Spain. We have no commitment to anyone, except with the freedom, unity and equality of the Spanish people," he stated.

Giant screens have been placed in the square so that attendees can follow the speeches. It is expected that, after the greetings from the mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, and the Madrid president, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, the former president José María Aznar, the former president Mariano Rajoy and the leader of the PP will take the floor in this order.

The territorial 'barons' of the PP have also confirmed their attendance and will travel to Madrid to support Feijóo. Many of them will do it again on Tuesday to witness his inauguration speech in Congress live.

It is expected that there will be some rows of chairs at the head of the act against the amnesty, but it has been decided to remove the others in order to accommodate more people, as 'popular' sources have told Europa Press.
