The PP does not believe Sánchez's announcements about housing: "Zero homes since 2018"

MADRID, 19 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The general secretary of the PP, Cuca Gamarra, has disdained this Wednesday the announcements of President Pedro Sánchez regarding housing, and considers them an "overheated dish" and a "bluff" that have meant a total of "zero homes" for citizens during the legislature.

In the plenary session of Congress and on the occasion of the appearance of Sánchez to explain the consequences of the war in Ukraine, Morocco and the last European Council, Gamarra referred to the president in this way after having made the announcement of a new mobilization of 43,000 homes for rent at affordable prices. This announcement will add to the 50,000 Sareb homes that the Government will mobilize for this purpose as well.

"Five years later, zero homes", said the spokesperson for the Popular Group in Congress, who has classified the Housing Law as "interventionist" and as a "bluff" the measure to mobilize 50,000 Sareb homes, to which It has also been referred to as the "toxic assets of the banks".

And it is that, of these 50,000 homes, Gamarra said, 14,000 were already inhabited, many of them with 'squatters', another 14,000 under construction and the rest are solar.

In addition, Gamarra has pointed out that the announcement this Wednesday of another 43,000 homes "is not new" because it was made months ago by the Minister of Transport, Raquel Sánchez. "She has been making announcements for five years, but not a single truth," she has added.

Faced with these measures, the general secretary of the PP has praised the proposals of its formation, among others guaranteeing the guarantee of 15% of the entrance of a house and facilitating the expenses destined to housing.

Additionally, he has criticized the Prime Minister for "shielding" the 'squatters', especially through the latest anti-crisis decrees. In contrast, Gamarra has promised that the PP will regulate the occupation so that these 'squatters' can be expelled within 24 hours.
