MADRID, 10 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Popular Party considers that "the bleeding" of votes that the head of the Executive, Pedro Sánchez, has suffered in the municipal and regional elections of May 28 can grow before the generals with Sumar "devouring" him to his left and the PP of Alberto Núñez Feijóo "devouring" him through the center, as sources from the top of the formation have indicated to Europa Press.

In the headquarters of the 'popular' they maintain that with just over 40 days to go to the polls, the "grievance" to some of the PSOE 'barons' in the preparation of electoral lists.

In fact, the Aragonese Javier Lambán and the Castilian-Manchego Emiliano García-Page planted Sánchez this Saturday in the Federal Committee of the PSOE after the changes in the candidacies of their territories. And the general secretary of the party in Castilla y León, Luis Tudanca, told the media that he was "outraged and disappointed" by the change that had occurred in the lists in his region.

In 'Genoa' they consider that the Federal Committee of the PSOE is "a survey in itself", since it reflects "the climate of opinion of socialism", say 'popular' sources close to Feijóo. "A party that is not working 100% for its candidate has a difficult time. If you do not have territorial support, you are in trouble," add sources from Feijóo's team.

Thus, in the leadership of the PP they recognize that they face the electoral campaign with optimism because the internal unity in their party contrasts with the exchange of reproaches that has been seen in the Federal Committee of the PSOE and the "veto" to Irene Montero in Sumar. "The news today is in the Federal Committee of the purge and the veto of Montero," insist "popular" sources.

The PP believes that the management of the lists and the meeting of the Federal Committee shows that Sánchez "considers himself defeated" and is "shielding post-Sanchism" when he sees that there will be a "shrinking" Socialist Group in the next legislature compared to 120 seats which he achieved in November 2019.

Sources from the PP leadership deny concern about the registration of the Sumar project and assure that "the more this part of the left weakens Sánchez's PSOE, the "better" for Alberto Núñez Feijóo, who competes against the head of the Executive in the general elections of July.

In addition, PP sources highlight the differences with which Sumar was born, after leaving out the Minister of Equality, Irene Montero, a "veto" that the general secretary of Podemos herself, Ione Belarra, criticized. "We're looking forward to seeing the rally in which Yolanda Díaz intervenes and from the front row Ione Belara enthusiastically applauds the political slogans of the coalition leader", they joke in 'Génova'.

The PP emphasizes that "leaving Pablo Iglesias out, leaving Echenique out, leaving Montero out" takes away from Sumar "a part of the most ideologized vote on the left." "And the left is not here to lose any vote," warn the sources consulted.

What's more, in 'Génova' they warn that between the electorate that "leaves out Sánchez for offending his barons" and the one that "leaves out Sumar for offending Pablo Iglesias and Irene Montero", there may be many center-left voters who do not find a "stimulus" to go to vote on July 23 or the PSOE or Sumar.

The leadership of the PP takes heart from the strategy that Feijóo drew up as soon as he arrived at the Presidency of the PP, focused on attracting PSOE voters who were dissatisfied with the management of Pedro Sánchez. The 'popular' believe that this roadmap is working and the PP is "devouring" the PSOE through the center.

In his opinion, if now Vice President Yolanda Díaz manages to "devour" Sánchez from the left, Sánchez's "bleeding" of votes can grow. Likewise, the 'populares' believe that it will be difficult to find "the message" in the campaign to convince the citizens after having changed strategy, by first giving space to Díaz and now appealing to the PSOE for the useful vote.

"He cannot find a stop to the bleeding of votes from the left and the center. Between Feijóo and Yolanda Díaz, a part of his electorate can be devoured", summarized in the direction of the 'popular', who emphasize that "all the vote that The PSOE loses in the center and goes to Feijóo's PP".
