The PP and Vox sign the agreement of the coalition government in Aragon without the presence of Azcón

They sign a pact with 80 measures, which include reforming the Trans Law and repealing the Law of Democratic Memory of Aragon

The parliamentary spokespersons for PP and VOX in the Aragon Parliament, Ana Alós and Alejandro Nolasco, have signed this Friday the agreement to share government in Aragon under the presidency of the 'popular' Jorge Azcón, who has not attended the event although, according to stressed Alós, "of course" supports the pact.

In this way, the regional president of the PP, Jorge Azcón, will preside over the Government and Nolasco will direct the first vice-presidency of the Executive, with the powers of Territorial Development, Depopulation and Justice. In addition, VOX will be the head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock. There will also be a second vice-presidency, which will manage the PP. After the inauguration, the heads of each area will be announced.

Likewise, the two parties have promised to support the candidate for regional senator proposed by the Popular Party. The agreements will have a monitoring commission, chaired by the person who holds the first vice-presidency, which will evaluate compliance with them.

The PP spokeswoman has expressed the "satisfaction" of her party for this agreement, after the Aragonese spoke "very clearly on May 28", expressing "the resounding suspense of the management of Javier Lambán's quadripartite government and the desire of political change by overwhelmingly supporting the center-right and right-wing forces".

In addition, he continued, "they said that it is the Popular Party, as the clear winner, who should be the formation responsible for leading this political and social change, with Jorge Azcón as president."

"This agreement with VOX responds to this democratic mandate", which has been possible "after many negotiations" and which seeks a "solid" government, which acts with a single voice to leave behind erroneous policies of the left and improve the lives of the Aragonese recovering the quality of public services", has wielded Alós.

The PP spokesperson has assured that the new government will be "a containment dam in defense of the equality of all Spaniards and, of course, also of the Aragonese, who are no more than anyone, but no less either".

Asked about Azcón's absence at the event, she has maintained that the same procedure has been followed as in the signing of agreements in other Autonomous Communities. "There is no major problem, we are the parliamentary spokesmen who signed an agreement that, of course, President Azcón supports."

The VOX spokesman, Alejandro Nolasco, thanked Azcón and "all the PP for the respect they have shown VOX and its voters" and for addressing "the need for that real change" expressed by the polls. "Today is a happy day" and "of hope" with an agreement that will allow "a defense of freedoms and an end to political sectarianism in our community."

In addition, he has stressed the "stability" to work "for and for the benefit of the Aragonese always." Nolasco has stressed that in each region "they are agreed or negotiated" adapting to each case, "obviously in collaboration with the national leaderships", but "there is no homogeneity". In this case, he has commented that the negotiation "has been developed in a climate of understanding".

He has recognized that there may be issues "on which we can agree more or less", but what has been signed is a "positive" pact in the "cool" part in which there is agreement.

GOVERNMENT STRUCTURE

The VOX spokesman has confirmed that he will assume the first vice presidency and the powers of Territorial Development, Depopulation and Justice. However, neither of the two spokespersons wanted to advance any other name.

They have stated that it will be after Azcón's inauguration when they should be made known. However, Nolasco has pointed out that the departments managed by his party "his development will belong to VOX."

For his part, Alós has stated that they are going to continue negotiating with the PAR: "We continue working on parliamentary agreements" and they will do so "until the time of the investiture and afterwards."

The PP spokesperson has underlined the "total publicity and transparency" of the agreement for the governability of Aragon and Nolasco has commented that it is a "meticulous" document and the delay in signing it "is due, in part, to the complexity at the time of address certain issues.

The strategic axes of the agreement are: The defense of freedom, socioeconomic development, the establishment of fair taxation, the promotion of local Administrations, territorial cohesion, equality for Aragonese, wherever they live, the improvement of services social, education and public health, the protection of women and the family, the security of citizens and the empowerment of our cultures and traditions.

80 POINTS IN TEN AREAS

The pact is based on a programmatic agreement with 80 grouped points and ten areas: Health; Education; Social Welfare and Family; Fiscal policy; Employment, Industry and Commerce; Administrative simplification; Agriculture, Environment and Territory; Infrastructures and Environment; Housing and fight against illegal occupation and insecurity; and Promotion of the wealth and diversity of our territory, defending our historical and cultural heritage.

Both parties have promised to develop all the hydraulic works to satisfy the needs of Aragon, without mentioning a hypothetical transfer. "We are not giving up anything, but we are committed to this agreement in a positive way," said Nolasco, adding Alós that the Azcón government will defend "with tooth and nail" the statutory water reserve and the full development of all regulatory works.

You have also mentioned the modernization and expansion of irrigation, ensuring industrial and mouth supply, and efficient use. "There is nothing more. Another thing is what each of the parties may have in their electoral programs," he emphasized.

In addition, Alós has guaranteed that the Aragonese Women's Institute (IAM) will continue its activity as always and that all instruments will be used to guarantee the protection of women, including the requirement of the measures that the central government must implement.

"The agreement also specifically talks about eradicating and fighting against sexist discourses" and against sexist violence. It also deals with domestic violence, "they are two different things and they are not opposed" and that is why both appear "without any problem". Regarding the Gender Violence law, Alós has remarked that it will remain in force.

OTHER LAWS

If the Law on Identity and Gender Expression will be reformed and the Law on Democratic Memory of Aragón will be revoked and the Directorate General for Linguistic Policy will be abolished.

As a matter of fact, Nolasco has commented that the Law of Democratic Memory "is sectarian, it interprets history in a unilateral way", when "history must be made by historians" and for this reason "we understand that it is a law that has no place in this government, which is going to be for freedom and social progress".

Alós recalled that the PP "voted against this law because it was sectarian and incomplete", "with which we understand that its repeal is perfectly possible and then we will see what can be done."

The PP spokesperson has also referred to the Trans Law of Aragon and has commented that they voted for it, but against some articles. "There is room to improve it" and that is how it will be done.

This Monday, August 7, the Board and Board of Spokesmen of the Courts of Aragon will be held and the investiture plenary session is expected to be convened for Wednesday and Thursday, August 9 and 10, while the new government could take office on Friday.
