MADRID, 21 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) -
The National Police have arrested in Malaga the alleged perpetrator of the shot in the face of former politician Alejo Vidal-Quadras on November 9 on a street in Madrid, police sources have confirmed to Europa Press.
According to 'El Confidencial', the arrested person is of Spanish nationality and the sources consulted by Europa Press indicate that the arrest occurred because he was the alleged perpetrator of the attempted murder.
Vidal-Quadras, 78 years old and former president of the Catalan PP who later joined Vox, was urgently hospitalized after being shot in the face at number 40 Núñez de Balboa Street, in the Madrid neighborhood of Salamanca.
The National Court took charge of the investigation since it could be a possible terrorist attack. Vidal-Quadras himself, once stabilized in the hospital, indicated that the attack could be linked to his relations with the Iranian opposition and the sources consulted by Europa Press confirmed that they are working with that hypothesis.
