MADRID, 28 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) -
The official Iranian news agency IRNA announced this Saturday the death of the young Armita Geravand, the teenager hospitalized since the beginning of this month after suffering an alleged attack in the Tehran subway at the hands of agents of the 'Moral Police' by not wearing the veil.
The official version, released by IRNA, indicates, on the other hand, that the young woman suffered a sudden drop in tension while waiting on the platform of the Shohada metro station in the Iranian capital.
The Iranian media broadcast images from the security cameras in which several people take the young woman out of the car "after suffering a drop in tension", although there is no trace of the previous moments, so several NGOs, including Iran Human Rights (IHR), suspect that the authorities are trying to cover up the incident.
Geravand had been brain dead for several days, official Iranian media also reported last weekend, and there was no hope of recovery.
