The occupant of the house where the explosion occurred due to a gas leak in Badajoz has died, as reported by the Extremadura 112 Center.
Likewise, in this explosion with a subsequent fire, 16 minor people have been treated by the health services and four have been transferred to the hospital, although, in principle, “they are not serious.”
The explosion occurred moments before 3:30 p.m. this Thursday in a block of flats on Calle Hernando de Soto number 1, in the San Fernando neighborhood.
Two basic life support ambulances, a medicalized unit, a team from the Badajoz Continuing Care Point and members of the National and Local Police, together with firefighters from the Badajoz City Council, have traveled to the scene of the events.
The building, which presents “substantial” material damage, has been evicted by police officers, according to data provided by the Extremadura 112 Center.
