MUNICIPAL POLICE ASSUMES THE INVESTIGATION

In statements to the media from the place of the collision, Fernando Argote Cardeñosa, commissioner of the Judicial Traffic Police of the Municipal Police of Madrid, who has taken charge of the investigation, explained that the driver of the vehicle has managed to flee the scene, according to the first indications, and it is about locating him.

In this sense, the commissioner, who has asked for prudence as he is "in full investigation", has explained that it is a vehicle "that came from afar" and that it has fled from the Civil Guard of Traffic and in the flight has overwhelmed these people.

"From now on, what we are going to do is all the necessary work by the Judicial Traffic Police of the Municipal Police of Madrid, in order to finally be able to determine how it has been, the causes, the consequences, everything there is, because what there are are two victims who are the ones that I think we should do justice," he stressed.

Thus, he explained that the tourism involved will be thoroughly reviewed for inspection and search for traces and clues. At first glance, he has indicated, the state in which the windshield has been left, indicates that "it was not going at low speed".

"What we are going to do is an investigation as exhaustive as possible so that in the end both the Prosecutor's Office and the Court determine if it could have been reckless or not, or it could have been something intentional. But according to all appearances and even if they want to, I get wet , it is reckless", indicated the commissioner, who has specified that recklessness does not mean an accident. "It is an accident that could have been avoided and of some people who have fled from a vehicle", * he has * explained him.
