The authorities of the self-proclaimed republic of Nagorno Karabakh have raised this Wednesday the death toll to 200 due to the attacks launched on Tuesday by Azerbaijan, which have also left more than 400 injured.

According to the Arstaj Human Rights Office - the name by which the separatist region is officially known - on its official profile on the social network X, formerly known as Twitter, the number of civilians killed amounts to ten, five of them children. , while more than 40 civilians have been injured, 13 of them minors.

"There are thousands of people who have not yet been able to find their relatives and relatives. The Artsakh Human Rights Defender's Office launched a fact-finding mission to collect data on people whose fate is unknown," he stated in another message previously.

The Azeri authorities announced on Tuesday the start of "anti-terrorist activities" in Nagorno Karabakh after denouncing the death of two civilians and four soldiers due to the explosion of two anti-personnel mines in the region, amid continuing tensions with Armenia.

After fighting broke out, the authorities of the self-proclaimed republic of Nagorno Karabakh announced this Wednesday a ceasefire proposed by the Russian peacekeeping contingent deployed in the region that includes addressing the "reintegration process" of Artsakh forces.
