The ANC premieres a spot for the Diada: "Agreeing with those who repress us and spy on us cannot be the way"

The ANC has released a spot to encourage participation in the Diada demonstration on September 11 in Barcelona: "Agreeing with those who repress and spy on us cannot be the way," the ad warns.

The actor Lluís Marco has given the voice to the spot, inspired by the motto of this year's demonstration, 'Via Fora', the entity reported in a statement on Friday.

As highlighted by the ANC, the ad begins with images of empty streets to symbolize the "attempt" to demobilize and the impact of the pandemic on attendance at demonstrations.

Later, after a ringing of the bell that alludes to the medieval origin of the motto 'Via Fora', the demonstrators fill the streets dressed in the Diada shirts, yellow and blue -- colors of the European Union flag --.

"Let's not forget our objective, independence, that we already voted on 1-O. Let's let them know that nothing has ended here and that we are still in the streets," the spot continues.

The demonstration for the Day will be organized in four columns that will converge in the Plaza de España from the City of Justice, the Proa School, the Estación de Sants and the Hacienda building.
