Among the winners who gathered at the building in the center of Madrid to collect their award, are the businessman and influencer Enrique Solís, the judge Reyes Martel, the president of AC Hoteles Antonio Catalán, the singer Roi Méndez and the artist Julia Baird , sister of the English musician John Lennon. Madrid, March 13, 2024.- The second edition of the Pilgrim Awards held its award ceremony last night in the heart of the capital. In a privileged enclave such as the renovated Gaviria Palace, Pilgrim has brought together numerous well-known faces to reward the commitment, good work and loyalty of all the ambassadors, establishments and firms that, with their effort and experience, build the Camino de Santiago.Among the winners who gathered at the central Madrid palace to collect their award are Antonio Catalán, president of AC Hoteles (Estrella del Camino Award); the businessman and influencer Enrique Solís (Influence Award); the singer Roi Méndez (Influence Award); or Judge Reyes Martel (Social Action Award), among others. Special mention was received by Julia Baird, International Prize winner of this 2nd edition of the Pilgrim Awards and sister of the English musician John Lennon. Baird has also been in charge of composing the new anthem of the English Camino de Santiago. The song was performed by the Galician singer Carolina Rubirosa during the gala, giving attendees one of the most special moments of the evening. The Gaviria Palace, an iconic symbol of the most traditional Madrid, was without a doubt the perfect setting for this celebration. The building, built between 1846 and 1847, became a meeting and celebration place for the Madrid gentry of the time. Proof of this is its inauguration ball in 1851 presided over by monarch Elizabeth II.
