(Information sent by the signatory company)

· The Bishop of Getafe, Ginés García Beltrán, will open this training day in Madrid on Thursday, June 1, organized by the Higher Institute of Pastoral Care and PPC Editorial.

· It will be a day of dialogue and listening in which an issue that affects the core of human societies will be addressed: polarization, the increasingly aggressive segmentation of different blocks of homogeneous thought.

Madrid, May 25, 2023.- PPC and the Instituto Superior Pastoral, ISP-UPSA, organize the VII PPC Conversations, focused on the issue of social polarization, a polarization to which the Church is no stranger.

This seventh call to be held in Madrid next Thursday, June 1 at the Colegio Mayor Mara* under the title Polarizados... And divided? How to create communication in times of conflict, will feature interventions by Antonio Pelayo, a Vatican member of Vida Nueva, Pedro Castelao, professor of anthropology at the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas, and Dolores López Guzmán, Doctor of Dogmatic Theology and specialist in spiritual accompaniment.

Likewise, the day will have a dialogue with Laura Martínez Otón, professor of Communication at Nebrija University and a round table, which will focus on the question: Communication to divide or multiply?

seven years talking

On previous occasions, the PPC Conversations have been dedicated to studying papal documents ('Evangelii gaudium' in 2014 and 'Amoris laetitia' in 2017), to contributing to reflection on the relationship between the Church and young people, on the eve of the Synod of Bishops (2018) and the reception, protection, promotion and integration of migrants (2019). In 2020, the event was suspended due to the state of alarm due to the coronavirus pandemic, but in 2021 they resumed with the message "Dream together! Let's dream as a single humanity". In 2022, the delicate issue of sexual abuse, power and conscience within the Church was analyzed.
