Sánchez, open to meeting with Feijóo but the PSOE demands an apology for the "insults" and disrespect

The Socialists are willing to talk to all parties except VOX

The PSOE has opened up to the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, meeting with the President of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, although he has made it a condition that the 'popular' ask for an "apology" to the Socialists for the "insults" and what they consider "constant" lack of respect during the last legislature and the electoral campaign.

Sources from Ferraz have pointed out that the Socialists are willing to hold meetings and speak with all the political forces except with Vox, which advances the PSOE's intention to meet with those of Feijóo, and it would be the acting head of the Executive who would attend that meeting.

"The PSOE deserves respect, our voters deserve respect and therefore, first of all, apologies because we have lived through a legislature where the socialist party has been delegitimized and insulted day in and day out," said the PSOE spokeswoman, Pilar Alegría, in statements to the media, asking the PP to also rectify the "continuous" appeals to turncoat in the socialist ranks.

Alegría has defended that his party has "always" shown to be an "educated" party and with the "capacity" for consensus, dialogue and listening. For this reason, she has announced that when the call is made "of course" they will attend the meeting, although to attend "the first thing you have to do" the PP is to respect the PSOE.

"I think Mr. Feijóo is going to have to show off. Also, in a very intense way, to see how he is capable," the also acting Minister of Education has ironized.

Asked if Sánchez will be the socialist leader who attends the meeting with Feijóo, Alegría explained that, when the call is made, an executive will be called to ask who is attending the meeting. "We decide this type of issue and we address it in a federal executive commission and that will be the case," she insisted. However, socialist sources specify that it would be Pedro Sánchez who attended a meeting with Feijóo.

Alegría has criticized the "hypocrisy" of the PP for supposedly defending that they "talk" and "dialogue" with the rest of the political forces, while the PSOE "gives in."

"The Popular Party speaks, dialogues and the rest of the political forces give in? Hypocrisy on the part of the Popular Party is enough," he said, stating that in Spain there is a surname that "represents" hypocrisy and it is Feijóo.

Regarding the absence of some PP leaders such as the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, at the opening of the political course in an act held on Sunday in Pontevedra, the socialist spokesperson has predicted that there are "popular" barons "warming up in boxes" for what "might happen".

Likewise, he has once again said that the investiture of the Popular Party is "doomed to failure" and that its "ceiling" is 172 votes. "On September 26 and 27, the Popular Party is going to obtain the same support that it would obtain today and that it would obtain a week ago," he declared.
